This second volume focuses on flowering plants and the distinctive characteristics of their families within Gerbert Grohmann’s Goethean and cosmological approach to botany.

Botanist Gerbert Grohmann wrote the book; Katherine Castelliz and Barbara Saunders-Davies translated it into English.

The book includes buttercups, lilies, grasses, carrots, mistletoe, and other flowering plants, using photographs and drawings to bring their family characteristics to life.

It is the second of two volumes providing a broad view of plants and the plant world. It adds further plant descriptions and extends the cosmological viewpoint developed in Volume 1.
