Perguntas frequentes

What are the benefits of using eggshells in gardening?

Eggshells add calcium-containing mineral material to garden soil and compost. Incorporating them with organic matter makes them part of a practical biodynamic soil-building routine.
How do I use the 100 g eggshell pack in Barrel Compound?

Use one 100 g pack of finely crushed eggshells for a standard Barrel Compound (Barrel Compost) batch with one 500 g basalt pack, one complete BD 502–507 set, and 12.5 gallons of manure. The double-batch kit uses two of each dry ingredient with 25 gallons of manure.
How does JPI use eggshells in Barrel Compound?

JPI includes crushed eggshells with cow manure, basalt, and biodynamic compost preparations 502 through 507 in Barrel Compound. These materials are combined to make a preparation for garden and field soil care.
Can these crushed eggshells also be used in garden soil or compost?

Yes. JPI offers this 100 g pack as the eggshell portion of a standard Barrel Compound batch, and the finely crushed material can also be incorporated into garden soil or compost as a calcium-containing mineral ingredient.
