How to use:
Use as part of a complete BD 502–507 set. Empty one unit into 1 gallon of lukewarm rainwater or other chemical-free water and stir vigorously for 10 minutes, alternating directions rhythmically. Pour half into the sixth compost-pile hole and spray the other half over the pile in a fine mist. One complete set treats up to 15 tons of compost; use the full set on smaller piles also.

Compost application
Empty one unit into 1 gallon of lukewarm rainwater or other chemical-free water and stir vigorously for 10 minutes. Divide the gallon in half: pour one half into the sixth hole, then spray the other half over the entire compost pile in a fine mist. This is the current handout method for BD 507 as part of the complete compost set.
Crop-spray and frost-protection uses are separate from the compost-pile method. Refer to the additional JPI guidance linked below for those applications.
