Steiner's original indications suggest as many as 9 units per acre. Our current rate, which is based on the Agriculture Circle's attempt to find the minimum threshold effects, is 1 unit per acre. This is enough for a baseline effect, but many of us have had great success using more than this.
Ideally, 500 horn manure is stirred together with 507 especially just before cultivating the soil. The important part is combining these. Virtually all the best results with biodynamics combine the preparations with the use of 507 Valerian as a soil spray.
