Biodynamic Pfeiffer Field and Garden Spray | Instructions for Use
One unit is 2oz. One unit treats 1 acre.
Activation:
Moisten the BD Field & Garden Spray in a flat pan or dish with just enough water to make it pasty. It will take a few minutes to get the powder moist; then it will absorb readily so that you may need to moisten it once more.
Allow the moistened Field & Garden Spray to activate for 12–16 hours or overnight.
Dilute the resultant paste-like substance in the amount of water your sprayer is calibrated to spray over 1 acre. (It is immaterial whether the dilution is done with 5 gallons of water or 50, just so each unit covers one acre. Use as much water as needed.)
IMPORTANT: if the job has to be interrupted, thoroughly stir the solution before resuming. Interruption of a few hours or overnight will not reduce the effectiveness. However, letting the solution stand several days will definitely alter its quality, potency, and ultimately the results.
Tips:
Spray during the latter part of the day, when the shadows are growing long.
Prepare your spraying equipment properly. If it has been used for other spray materials, clean it thoroughly by flushing it with clean water several times. If poison sprays were used, wash and flush poison with lye (1% solution) or soda (5% solution) and flush several times with clean water.
Spray on a calm day. Strong winds will blow the spray to another field.
Spray as close to the ground as you can.
The product has been screened through a 50-mesh screen and should pass any nozzle of 0.0175 inch or larger. Oval or ellipsoid nozzles usually clog less than round openings. If in doubt, strain the activated liquid through a paint strainer, a pottery sieve, or even panty hose.
For smaller applications: activate 1 level teaspoon for 1,000ft2 or 1 level tablespoon for 3,000ft2. Spray using a whisk or paint brush.
Use Pfeiffer Field & Garden Spray on houseplants or as a bath for seeds and bulbs to enhance germination and plant health.
