JPI President Teresa O’Shaughnessy spoke with Austin Organic Gardeners at Zilker Botanical Garden on March 9, 2026. Her talk, “Biodynamics: Garden as a Living Ecosystem,” introduced ways to bring biodynamics into the home garden.

Teresa approached the garden as a living whole, connecting soil, plants, animals, and seasonal rhythms. Her presentation brought practical preparation use together with rhythm, reverence, and ritual in everyday gardening.

The evening’s program paired the talk with a makers’ hour on seed balls made with biodynamic barrel compound. The meeting was free and open to the public, with online access for those unable to attend in person.

The conversation continued after the meeting. Gardeners contacted Teresa to stay in touch and learn more about biodynamics.
